The Program Coordinator will assist in inmate assessments, referrals, and evidence-based program implementation to the inmate population as necessary.
The coordinator will instruct classes and keep record of completion rate of all participating inmates.
The coordinator will also act as a case manager in acquiring services while inmate is incarcerated, along with reentry services post incarceration.
This is a grant funded position.
Essential Job Duties:
Attend classification meetings Conduct inmate program orientation Answer kiosk request in a timely and professional manner Data entry to track effectiveness/ recidivism rates Coordinate with community resources and staff Report to Program Director of any inmate issues, volunteer or program needs, and weekly updates of inmate participation Teach evidence-based programs to inmate population
Qualifications:
Successful applicants must:
Have experience with offender population Have a minimum of high school diploma/ Associates or higher preferred.
Have strong organizational skills Have the ability to communicate efficiently, both orally and in written form Have strong knowledge of computer systems Be MRT certified or be willing to become MRT certified within 90 days of employment, along with all other necessary trainings Pay attention to detail Be able to pass a NCIC background check The ability to work individually and with a team Social work background preferred Job Type:
