This is a 2nd Shift Dispatch position at Adusa Transportation in Clinton, TN Monday-Friday 4pm-1230am Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Learn all store names, numbers, and locations - Proactively address problems and suggest solutions - Communicate with stores, fellow associates, sister Distribution Centers, and company drivers - Entry of vehicle/load information into dispatch software (CAMS Prospero) - Answer phone and communicate via email in a professional manner - Make sure all drivers have reported for their scheduled On-Duty shifts.
Work to cover open shifts - Sending notifications to drivers alerting them of any traffic situations or information about the connections that a driver must make - Monitor driver Hours-Of-Service - Resolve On-The-Road disruptions - Communicate with fellow associates to ensure smooth shift transfers - Update other departments on daily operations - After drivers are on the road you will be required to perform light sanitation:
Ensure the workplace is always clean and sanitary.
Perform a range of duties, including mopping and sweeping floors as well as taking trash out.
Make sure restrooms and common areas stay clean and stocked by performing routine inspections every day - Once you have mastered the Dispatcher position you will be required to start training for a Transportation Setup roll to be filled in the future (This position pays at a higher rate and is a weekly rotating Sun-Thurs/ Mon-Fri (12pm-830pm) schedule.

Experience:
- Previous experience in transportation, dispatch, and/or logistics is preferred and a PLUS - Strong knowledge of transportation (in addition to Distribution) industry practices, regulations, and procedures preferred - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work independently and make sound decisions quickly - Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision - This position requires a high level of motivation, initiative, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (i.
