The Buyer role involves engagement with multiple supply points including intercompany dealings.
This position reports to the Director of Procurement.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Execute on procurement strategies for direct and indirect requirements.
Supports intercompany material requirements.
Manage inventory to appropriate levels.
Participate in demand forecasting in support of business needs, Ensure supplier accountability, documents, and works to resolve performance concerns.
Evaluates ERQ opportunities and order terms to improve cost performance, Identify issues with long lead time parts/ suppliers and offer solutions/ improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field is preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience is required.
Proactive approach with good organizational skills Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems Analytical, detail oriented, and able to analyze data.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Embraces change, new challenges and makes recommendations for process improvement.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
