Aspire seeks an Assistance Landscape Director to join our talented pre-opening team! Don't miss this unique opportunity to join our team and be part of East Tennessee's newest adventure park! We are looking to fill an immediate full time, permanent position.
This position will be the primary steward of all plants, trees and overall landscape of Aspire, a 400-acre park in Clinton TN.
This position will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the park's natural areas, installed plantings, 18 miles of hiking, biking, and walking trails, as well as the overall park landscape infrastructure.
Must have an attitude of servant leadership and a willingness to lead by example.
Attention to detail.
Must have experience managing large outdoor environments, native prairie, warm season grasses and wildflowers.
Tree management, soil, and turf management.
Understanding of the uses of herbicides.
Weed identification and eradication management.
Disease and pest identification and management.
Knowledge of operating various equipment such as:
Agricultural tractors and equipment, various types of mowers, weed eater, chain saw, loaders, seeding and fertilizer equipment, and herbicide equipment.
Experience working with contractors in the delivery of landscape and hardscape services.
This is a very hands-on position and applicant must be able to work consistently outside, in all- weather.
Physical ability to walk for long distances, bend, or stoop, pull weeds by hand, dig holes by hand, lift at least 50lbs.
