This position is responsible for Process Engineering for a large tube forming and bending operation located in Clinton, TN. This position is responsible for engineering work related to planning, devising, and adapting methods to improve manufacturing production. In addition, they will examine equipment, processes, operations, and assembly to determine time or quality revisions for improvement.
Principal Accountabilities:
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors.
Project planning by studying customer requirements, market demand, and competitor's products; identifying and analyzing trends in technology; conferring and collaborating with other members of management.
Improving manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout.
Determines feasibility of projects by identifying and forecasting costs and requirements
Assist in problem solving with suppliers for nonconforming product. Support supplier development activities
COMPETENCIES:
Good Communication Skills at all levels of the organization
Proficiency in the Auto Cad and Microsoft Office Suite
Customer Sensitivity and Awareness
QS-9000 and TS 16949 Interpretation
Education /
Experience:
BS/BA in IE or ME engineering discipline
A minimum of 5 years experience in an automotive manufacturing environment or equivalent and prefer experience in a tube bending and end form process
A minimum of 3-5 years project management experience with operational responsibilities
Experience in QS 9000 and TS 16946 based quality systems.
Experience with Welding & Robotics a plus
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
